Olympia Area - Woodard Bay

We cycled down the Chehalis Western trail to Woodard Bay, got in some hiking, and took these pictures.

Rail line used by Weyerhaeuser to transport logs to Woodard Bay.

Lumberjacks would cut notches into trees to insert a board. called a springboard.  The lumberjacks would then stand on the springboard to cut down a tree

Seals resting out on Woodard Bay.  We could hear them but we couldn't see them, so we took a picture of the platform with the big lens and hoped for the best.
