Kansas City

We passed through Kansas City on our way to and from Theresa's house for Thanksgiving, 2003.

We've been led to believe that Missouri is part of the Bible Belt, so it came as bit of a surprise that there are lots of adult “superstores” along I-70. What is truly amazing is the number of these stores out in the middle of nowhere. The only buildings around are a gas station and an adult superstore. We were so amazed by this we had to get a picture of one (on the way back from Indy) and share with our friends. Who knew Missouri could be so much fun?

Just off of downtown Kansas City is the Country Club Plaza. Every year, this collection of shops and restaurants cover their buildings with lights. Visiting the Plaza is a great way to start the Christmas season.
